#moceanfit4life Vol 2-Resilience

So for the #moceanfit4life series we have talked about age and its challenges and triumphs. We saw a great film of an amazing woman ice skating competitively until she was 90 years old! She lived and ultimately died on the ice, doing what she loved most.

One common theme you will see in this series is Everyone that we profile is passionate about what they are doing. Thats it, thats all. Guys hating their lives or job until the end? No movies will be made about that. Passion rules and always will.

What also rules is resilience. Straight up. Going hard for as long as you are able. Struggling through adversity and set backs and yes, the natural effects of aging. Self doubt may set in and the murmurs of others…”when is he going to grow up”? , “Doesn’t she know that is dangerous”, “Your not 25 anymore” etc etc. All of which is ultimately a bunch of fucking bullshit. Which is what you will see in this next film that spotlights a true icon of sport, Matt Hoffman aka The Condor. The guy has been going huge for so long(36 years) despite 2 comas, over 100 concussions, hundreds of broken bones and one slam that erased 8 months of his memory and so many more doing what he loves. Hell a semi truck hit his car once and flattened it. He even had one crash into his friend and fellow legend, Dennis McCoy that is legendary. Both nearly died, but Dennis competed in the X games a year later at the age of 48(he is still killing it at age 50) ..But thats for another story..

Winstanleys BMX Page posted a pic of Matt’s injuries see below.
